Starbuck: Miracle in a Cup
Monday, again...
Dropped the boys off at school this morning, got into my soccer mom mini-van, and proceeded to head to Starbucks.
There is something in your brain that will not allow you drive any other direction, except towards a Starbucks. I haven't figured it out yet. I have not had my traditional venti no whip mocha in several weeks. Between lack of time, busy mornings, and no money (except for what is in the ash tray of the van), I have not gone. But this morning, the mini-van was on auto-pilot, and I found myself in the drive thru Starbucks on Parker.
AWWW YES, venti no whip mocha coming my way! A miracle in a cup! A wonderful creation to sooth your frazzled post-weekend soul and certainly one of the reasons I will be eating Top Ramen all week!! But it was worth every swallow! And to continue my bliss, I may even pour coffee from work into my empty Starbucks cup, to get the last drops of mocha off the bottom, and to trick my mind into thinking I had Starbucks twice in one day!!
I have decided, that sometimes you have to spoil yourself, even if it means a $3.86 coffee from the local, legal-drug pushing, comfort zone, addiction creating, coffee house on the planet. Life is too short!
